I'm thinking of leaving Big 4 to go to a boutique firm. I have 2 years of experience. They are bringing me in at the Senior level. Smaller market. Ill be doing consulting on tax credits. They asked me for a salary range- is 75k-85k reasonable? or is that too low?

FWIW Deloitte Boise tax seniors are being paid low 60s precovid. Good luck

Yea honestly, Boise salaries have not caught up with the col. Saying 60s is even generous. Maybe a boutique firm will be different

Hi Everyone!

A company has made an offer and I wanted to understand if i'm being made a fool.

The monthly compensation is 1,37,500 (16,50,000 yearly) and Variable component (Bonus) is 1,50,000.

However in the offer it says "You shall be paid an annual compensation of Rs. 16,50,000/- per annum Cost to Company."

Which to me sounds like it doesn't consider 1,50,000 to be a part of CTC which is suspicious to me.

How should I deal with this?

Thank you!

History of my firm: small (7 employees, two interns), was a single CPA show for 20 years. Cont.

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!
