I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

If you’re white like me it’s so important to realize that we were raised in a society where institutionalized racism is normalized, and we were born with privilege. You can’t choose the color of your skin, but you can choose to put ego aside and reflect on why this isn’t happening to me, and be vocal about being anti-racist.
I got the job. That is all.

Could you teach art direction at a portfolio school? Or maybe being a graphic designer in the non-advertising space?

You’ll probably need additional schooling to retool and you likely won’t earn anywhere near where you do now. It also depends on what kind of art direction you’ve done (illustration? Production? Social? TV?) and how much hustle you have, but here are some thought starters:
Florist
Photographer/Videographer
Art teacher
Stylist
Production/set design
Arts nonprofit professional
Product design
Furniture maker (or similar maker)
Social content creator
Curator

I said that they don’t pay well.
The best option might be starting a job as Art Director who can detach from the work. Not easy to get there but worth it once you do
To all of those thinking of getting out. I’d say get out while you can if you can. One day, you’ll have a family, and other responsibilities and far less energy to move. So get out while you can.
If i knew what else to do i would 100% do that

A lot of major companies are expanding their internal design teams to not pay agency or other vendors to do their logo work for all of their brands. Check out PepsiCo, Coke, Mondelez

I feel this- there’s so much noise in advertising. Some nice peace & quiet sounds kinda of amazing.
Event planning I’ve had my eye on for a while
Event planning is not the landing pad for someone trying to escape burnout. Though, if it’s a moral burnout, maybe that role could offer some relief.
I’ve seen a couple of art and creative directors from my shop leave and run in-house teams for marketing and visual communication at healthcare brands and specialized segments of those healthcare brands, specifically focusing on one segment of the body ( neurology, cardiology, etc.) Looks interesting. Consider a company or industry with much deeper pockets than the agency world. Think hospitals, microchip processors, manufacturing businesses, commercial construction, financial sector.
