I currently work at an international law firm (4 years) and recently accepted an offer to go in house. The main attorney I support did not take the news well and was very angry with me. Are cover letters important if they don’t ask for one? There are so many job postings and applicants I can’t tell if they would be beneficial to show effort or just a waste of time to write with how little time I assume people are looking at applications with the mass hiring going on. If I should be writing one, any advice how to format?

Why is it so difficult to make the next career move within your OWN company. I have over 7 years of experience across multiple departments and yet an external company is more willing to give an interview to select roles than your own home company for the same role internally!!

I got offer from XYZ company, but my current company ABC had a call with me and had me stay in the current company. They offered me same offer which XYZ offered. But they officially didn't give any offer letter but they said you will get revised salary in march month. But I didn't receive revised salary. I just have mail confirmation regarding retention offer. Again I spoke to concerned person this month, they said, central team is processing still, in April'22 u will receive revised salary.
