Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

Example. You have 2yoe.. Than ctc = 2 * 6

But where the hack was I bragging... Its nothing to be bragged about, I said there are many people earning 50lpa also as a fresher, I would be a stupid if I start comparing myself with those guys.
Point here is, I wasn't making anyone feel low, I was not making fun of anyone here, I don't knw how you felt that I'm bragging.

Fun Fact : As per studies, people in India who have more than 17lakhs wealth in total are considered belonging to top 10% household in the country.
I guess that depends on yoe and skills set mostly. But the fact what I observed is it became very avg for 2-3 yoe people during this market conditions thus younger folks easily getting much more than this with negotiation. Sepcially people in FAANG/MAANG getting 30-60lpa with 0-4 yoe have created a new standard and thinking pattern among other people in the industry.
So what I think is some peeps amongst who are getting high package very early (unlike before 2020) and commenting "LoL" may be a sign of their foolishness or thinking this is nothing, very easy to get and laughable. It all comes down to being humble which they are lacking in their behaviour. But on the other side I also feel if someone can get a good package that person should definitely try to get it, and at the same time uplift others, guide them for the same and be humble instead of being a bully.
Depends on you tech stack on yoe. If you have <=2 yoe, it's great!
If you are at 12 yoe then you are missing out
It seems inflation and the present salary structure has made the 12 LPA back in 2018, 2019 to almost 22LPA now in 2022
Freshers aur 1, 2 yoe wale ko lagta h market norm h yoe*6 or *5. As your exp increases the norm comes down to yoe*3 to yoe*4 as the good salary range for majority of the employees.
A minor chunk will always be there who will earn yoe*6 to *10 but that is now where close to normal range.

You will always find people lying on CV and interviews to get package, switching every 1.5 years +-
Don't get demotivated, there is no mathematical formula to calculate package based on YOE
