I volunteer in the mental health peer support space. Helps me fulfill a passion project without compromising on my “corporate/white collar” lifestyle
I come from psych BA, IO psych MA and in consulting. You’d need to go back to school to get credentials and internship/externship hours to then segue into clinical psych programs. They’re very diff fields from corporate given that it’s entering academia and research. That’s 5-10 years depending if you do your PsyD or PhD.
To become a psychologist you’d either need a PhD (4-7 years) or Psy.D(4 years lots of debt). Mental health counselors/social workers make garbage $$(only worth it if you’re spouse makes good $$). I had a undergrad degree in speech therapy but went into life science consulting
Idk these Gen Z kids get triggered by everything and anything.. may be a good practice to get into lol
As M1 said, clinical psychology is an intensive program.
If you want to do human capital consulting get a cert or a 1 year masters and join a practice. Be sure you engage with potential groups first and get some guidance on programs that add value to your resume.
