JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

Dallas isn’t bad, but what are you driving for $1k/mo?????
I have a 2021 S4 I bought new for $60k. I was making 120 and my net worth was less than yours. You'll be fine paying rent in Dallas and having a new car, but it will definitely impact your savings. I'm in my 30s and insurance is nearly 2-300 a month... gas is expensive... it adds up. So consider your savings plan.
That said, if you'd just be spending that $ on rent instead ... 🤷🏼♂️

Illinois has 4.95% state tax, Texas has 0%. ~$6.5K saved in taxes, or about $540 every month, which you can divert towards that $1K monthly car payment ;)
No, it’s in place of the car payment. Public transport or Uber/taxi everywhere. Would it add up to $12k? Who knows? But having a $1k /month car payment at your age and salary is insane.
I’d pick Chicago over anywhere in Texas any day.
Moving from austin to chicago? Downgrade
Following simply bc I was debating chicago vs Dallas lol
Chicago pros/cons: great city, very walkable and great public transit. TONS to do in the city and great restaurants. Cons: what are your thoughts on winter?
Dallas: I haven't spent as much time here, but the weather is definitely warmer, and still lots to do and good restaurants. Traffic is still pretty horrible.
Why are you going to buy a car with a 1K car payment?? You can still get decent cars for 1/3 of that car payment. You don't have to have the best car right now. Be smart about it and save for a house vs getting a flashy car.

Dallas isn’t fun?
Uhh I live in Dallas and I have lots of fun?
I had a 2 year project in Chicago. Great city in the summer but for the other 8 months of the year it’s miserable. Especially for someone like me that pretty much lives outside playing golf and tennis.
I would recommend Texas, as no state tax plus a lots n lots of opportunities to make a move and change, also it's not a bad place to be.
If not try going for a BMW 330e, its a good luxury for start as well as you will save good money as well.
Austin is more fun than either Dallas or Chicago.
Austin has the hottest humid weather tho
Chicago
