Hi guys
I am working in Tata Consultancy kolkata from past 3 years, planning to get transfer to TCS Bangalore(hometown). Will there be any issues if I provide fake medical certificate for my parents? Also now they are forcing me to come back to kolkata office, is there any possibly they may let me work from bangalore office even if my project ODC is not there in bangalore?

We have big league egos.
They are the best of the Big 4, PWC is the closest to them but Deloitte has a decade head start.
They are a truly well run company and if you come from EY or KPMG for instance, its clear on day 1. They are a consulting firm, not an accounting firm with a consulting practice.
Go to itunes and search Deloitte or Resilient as an example
I vote for ego and kool-aid
Who's Deloitte??
Well they have this really cool green dot, sooo,....
They are fourth place in the strategy market, in the same way that yahoo is fourth or so in the search engine market.
Yahoo is a bit of a stretch because Deloitte gets a lot of business, plus its google snd everyone else. When do you really use Bing?
It's like luxury sportscar automakers, MBB is like Ferrari, Lambo and Aston Martin. Deloitte is like Porsche.
Porsche makes a damn good supercar in its 911 but they have a lot of other stuff too like a 4 door, SUV, and you can go down and get a Boxster. They are high end but Lil Wayne and Jay Z aren't dropping their name.
Depends on practice area. We're especially competitive in finance transformation work, but often lose out to EY's FSO on a lot of middle office risk work
Wish it was still Deloitte & Touche, for obvi reasons (Douche)
^still is for the Advisory arm
I love the people at EY but god damn if this place isn't super conservative, Deloitte seems very aggressive from the top down and it's paid off but that same aggressiveness factors into the culture
Well didn't Pwc sell its consulting arm pretty recently? Would make sense it's not on par...
Thanks PC1 I'll check out Resilient. Actually will be starting at D in a few weeks.
How do you think being a bona fide consulting firm manifests in the work? Better client prestige / higher bid rates? More interesting work / consultative approach to problems irrespective of SOW? More camaraderie / pride / feeling all-in about the work?
They have an indoctrination program for new hires out of college and the kool aid overflows.
Deloitte and ACNthough don't have to balance focus, they are consulting firms and have been. They have processes and technology that enables their business. They support their consultants in the field better than the other Big4.
They pay more for talent and invest more in training to develop and retain that talent. They have a full scale mba program. This is a big reason they have more depth.
Deloitte is a Partnership, it doesn't have to cater to the street but can truly focus on the long term.
They also can manage large, long and complex projects because of their IT background, better than the other firms. They have more tools and expertise in that area which translates to all areas of the biz in obtaining and retaining clients.
Because they can do everything from compete with Big3 (not saying they are as good as), to compete with Cognizant, they see more opportunities as clients like one point of contact in most cases to meet their business needs.
How good of a firm is cognizant relative to the big4/Accenture?
It is known as a tech shop. I found them technically sound but not forward thinking or strategic
