Do you have a prenup? What does it involve?
JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

Yes, it's helps reduce your utilization ratio
Yes
Yes. It decreases your utilization % compared to your overall credit line.
It will show up as an inquiry so it will be a short term negative affect but long term will be positive due to the utilization mentioned above, but if you have 40k in credit you don't need more unless you put stupid amounts on cards
Typically Credit limit increase (CLI) requests are soft pulls that don't show up on your report or affect your score. If you ask for a very high limit, you'll typically be informed that it would require a hard pull and have the option to reduce your ask.
Bcg1 I'd say it's not typical to be soft. As always, YMMV, but not something I would assume. They should be obligated to tell you if it will be a hard pull.
Yes. Most card companies have an online request form. Request double, get approved for maybe 50% more. Repeat wry 6-12 months per card.
But isn't it negative when the bank does a hard review of your account in order to approve you? Doesn't that hurt your score a bit?
No. Credit use hurts, not availability.
If you pay on time, I'd maybe request an increase on one card and let your other two issuers voluntarily increase your limits with them. That way you don't take multiple hits. I had my cc set up for auto withdrawal and eventually the cc co increased b/c of my pymt history. I was never even accidentally late b/c they had the power to pull it.
Also if you end up with many cards - it looks bad to close cards so try not to open Willy Nilly, if you're not going to keep and use them long term
Sign up to churn bonuses. If you're gonna take a hard hit, might as well get some return
My two banks are both hard pulls...
Fair enough. TIL
Just curious, OP. Why do you care about your credit score that bad? I'm assuming your credit score is pretty good already given your limits.
