Is it better if you look for a job when you are employed? I’m considering leaving the firm so that I can take few months off. Any suggestions on what would be the best path for this?

Is it okay to disappear from friends & family to work on career change goals (several months)? I want to focus and not get distracted by friends & family needs to see me or attend certain things as it takes up a lot of time. If I focus for a short time, I can quickly achieve my goals to switch. I can hangout with them after all of that. What do you think?? Any feedback will be appreciated.

Anyone exited to an integration role in industry? How do you like it? The company I'm talking to is a F500 serial acquirer looking to add some people with integration experience under their corp dev team. Doesn't seem like a PMO role on the surface but have a feeling it will be. Any thoughts?

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?
