Those roles are super competitive. To do ‘good work’ with the backing of a major company is a rare combination. Lots of people wanting to do that.

Thanks MC1. I have felt the pain firsthand. Tons of networking calls with Partners but nothing beyond that.
To those of you who are currently in this field, how did you find your role? And did you take a pay cut / level cut?

I’m considering a position as an account director at a large agency coming from a media director role at another. (I’ve been client facing for years) are there any hard and fast rules of client management that typically media people wouldn’t deal with DTD? Note: this is more of strategist role and they were looking for heavy media experience but this position is unique in that it will also serve as the liaison between the analytics, creative, and media agencies.

Hi all! Is anyone here in Underwriting? Just want some thoughts on this as i’ve recently gotten an offer for an Underwriting Associate position and have never done any salary negotiations before. Does it seem unrealistic for my counter offer to be 12k more than the original offer? Considering that the original offer is roughly 8k less than the market salary. Plus i’m also accounting for wiggle room as i’m not expecting them to actually agree with the full 12k counter offer
