CFA has absolutely nothing to do with IB.

Yep- IB and CFA are unrelated.
In fact, hiring managers could be confused on your application if you show you are a CFA holder. CFA is relevant for portfolio and asset management or investment or strategy analysis.
In all honesty, it is okay to have a CFA. Just know that each part requires at least 300+ hours of study.
However, to get into IB, you need to have connections through internships [usually during undergrad] that will help land an offer. If you lack this, what you could do is an MBA. You should consider the firms grads go to work at after graduating.
Yes possible, but unlikely. As AM1 said, go to a T10 MBA and recruit for summer internships if interested in making an easier jump
