Not unreasonable if you yourself are in first class. If you aren’t, keep moving.
You just need to point it to the flight attendant and they will take care of it
FA may be able to store your roller in their closet if you ask politely, YMMV but generally overhead space is guaranteed for First Class
Not at my airport, always a diceroll if you don't make preboard (have 1k). Most flights here are smaller than a 737, Embraer, CRJ, Bombardier, variants most common. Rarely an Airbus. Almost always a small narrow body.
Am in first class. Situation in progress as of now. Flight attendant claims they can't do anything (untrue, federal law requires compliance with their instructions)... basically boarding started early and I got screwed
United with top advertised status, though it is a contracted segment (aka Whatever The F*ck Airways dba United)
First class, no biggy, just ask the attendant for help finding a spot for your bag. However, if you see this happening in cattle class, make a huge scene and delay the departure.
Putting personal size bags and jackets in the overhead is just bad courtesy. Tell flight attendant to hang jacket and put small bag underneath seat. If after everyone in first has boarded, then put it up
I understand this is an unpopular opinion, if you have a connection check your bag to your final destination.
I used to be in the camp of never checking a bag. And then I got so tired of overhead bin space not being available and concerned with missing a connection if it was gate checked, that I started checking a bag.
Amazed at how stress free flying is.
That's typically my course of action, but today belonged to Murphy and his law...
Sounds like you made the mistake of traveling with a roller board on a regional jet. Pack lighter if you don’t want to wait on the jet bridge!
I think you missed the point. I Live in Chicago and fly to those “garbage cities” every week. I bring a soft sided duffel and it always fits in the overhead bin. If pressed for space, it also can fit at my feet in first class. Therefore, the airline can never take it away and it’s not an issue
I have taken personal items out of the overhead bin and handed them to passengers so that I could get my bag into the overhead.
