Is LinkedIn still critical to have in today’s business world? I don’t have any other social media accounts and would like to be completely rogue. I know there are obvious networking benefits… but…. If you have a strong network in real life…. Is it a must?

I think I'm really bad at communication, storytelling, active listening etc. I'm good at 1-1 relationships, but really bad in 1-many scenarios. I just sound stupid often. Feel like I'm surrounded by people who communicate so much better. Has anyone improved their comms skills as they progressed in their careers? Any tips or courses that helped you on the way?

Deloitte folks, I need help. I saw a job posting for life science strategy manager. This would be a lane change from my current role as clinical manager. I have a PhD in biology and would love to break into consulting. But not sure how.

For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? I’ve been in litigation for 15 years and I’m looking to make the switch. Ultimately, I’d like to get into Legal Ops, but feel getting some in house experience first would be beneficial.

They report directly to the c-suite and said they mainly focus on strategy or M&A and don’t do implementation. So I just moved to consulting after B school, and It's more money than I've made my entire life. After paying for rent and living expenses, I have 6000$ left over every month. My student loan payments are about 1200/month at 7% interest. I still owe another 95K on my loan. I have the option to pay more every month and reduce my overall interest paid.
Currently I put about 3000 towards my loan and 3000 towards my savings. Cont'd...

24 yr old, 110k TC, maxing out Roth IRA and Roth 401k, no debt or large expenses. Also have ~35k sitting in a bank account. What should I do with that money?? Am I better just sitting on it for a while then watching it shrivel up in my brokerage account?
