Don't focus on spending multipliers. You're making a $5k purchase. Make the most of it and get a large bonus. Look at Chase Ink Preferred for 90k or Ink Cash/Unlimited for 75k.
Thank you! I’ll probably end up doing this each year then on top of tax season.
Keep using the reserve but I’d expand your chase portfolio to their other cards to optimize bonus categories across all spend
I have the Chase Ink Business Cash, where I buy Visa gift cards for 5x to use on groceries, pet, shopping and dining out. The hotel will be a larger expense in 2 transactions each year and international that I want to maximize value back. I’m definitely going to look to getting more Chase cards like the Freedom. Chase is my favorite because of Air Canada and United transfer partners.
According to my AI assistant, Chat GPT: it recommends the AMEX business gold card (you can classify two categories for 4x points) and the Capital One Venture X card.
Mind you, I did not confirm if the results are accurate but hope this helps

The only hotel partner worth transferring to is Hyatt, and they've never had a transfer bonus (and probably never will). I say OP either sticks with the 3x on their CSR or opens a new card for the bonus.
