I’m from the Middle East, also a Miami School grad and currently working in the US. I won’t say it’s impossible but it’s not a cakewalk either… I know friends who have done it, but they’ve all worked their butts off while studying there. They submitted for every award out there, won a ton, and had tons of great work and craft to show on their portfolios to eventually petition for an O1 visa. So yeah, you need to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and constantly aim higher. It’s not just about doing good work, but about doing exceptional work that gets noticed. Tenacity is key — if you’re not willing to outdo yourself every step of the way, someone else will.

It’s true. Hans Gruber broke a lot of glass and they mislabeled him as a terrorist, too.
If you need sponsorship, it’s tough for anyone; if you don’t need sponsorship, and are really good, where you from shouldn’t matter that much
