How to build a POC

So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

You may still be in the adjustment stage. It's only been three months so I think you should give it more time. Or maybe you can try doing something for your team without over-stepping the boundaries of your position.
If your job is no longer challenging, are there ways you could outperform to evidence you deserve a promotion? That would be my first step before committing to leaving after such a short period of time. They may be starting you slow these first few months as they gain trust in you for bigger work/projects
I have pickup on all the reporting for my role within a month. Currently, I am taking an initiative to automate all the reports so I have more time to analyze the data (trying to outperform) and I have pushed out so many ad Hoc projects. I am really struggling to find the “what’s next- vision”. If that makes any sense?!?!
I was in something similar - I just left!! I felt like I was stagnating, and they kept expecting ME to teach other people stuff...yeah no. Interview, interview, interview until something else comes up!
Sorry to hear. Same exact situation I’m in now except I somehow managed to make it a year. Now I am looking internally and externally
Same. Interview elsewhere or talk to your supervisor and ask for the work that was talked about in the interview. I’m currently doing the first.
Possibly working with/for people who have micromanager tendencies?... happened to me years ago (a management role that literally had no one and nothing to manage because my superior wouldnt let it go) and I eventually left.
Did you change firms for this role or are you at the same company as your prior role? Was there a pay or title increase with this role?
Got it. It can be really difficult to make sure a move from one company to the next is lateral or better in terms of responsibilities. So don’t be tough on yourself for that. I would keep an open mind while you settle further into your new role, new company and new city. If you’re not already, start casually networking with others in your company and city to learn about other roles and career paths. You might be able to find something more interesting to you and position yourself well for when a role opens up in that function. Or you might learn that career growth is very slow at the current company and decide to start looking externally closer to the one year mark.
Yes, I went from fund accounting to market ops and realized I should have waited for a different job since the job was way to easy and different than i thought (thoughtit was more analysis). Did excel and took more responsibility. If you're at a large company I would wait and internally transfer after a year
Sorry to hear that. It really happens sometimes. It has only been three months and a lot of things might change. Give it some time. If you still feel that the role is not challenging enough, you can switch roles.
