Can someone explain how PTO works in house? I have only ever worked at a firm, starting my first in house position end of this month. I’m used to just blocking off time on my calendar if I have an appointment (like the rare occasion I have a dental appointment, well child checkup, etc) and then going. I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager.
