One of the interviews was for an in-house position with multiple rounds. The firm offer was one-and-done. I think it just depends on the company/firm and how bullish they are about filling the role.

I worked with multiple recruiters, kept a spreadsheet logging my applications so I could track my efforts, and stayed busy with work and life. Two months of this led to multiple interviews and an offer.
Anything taking months questions the firms internal processes. It shouldn’t take so long.
