What’s the best investment for working from home beside headphones, standing desk, monitors ?
If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?
What should I expect when trying to exit into a more competitive (geographical) market? My home office is in a developing country (think non-EU/US, G20), I’m looking at Biz Ops/PM roles in tech in Western Europe. How much should I expect to be able to leverage my consulting/McKinsey background in this context?
Had an employee request a standing desk due to back problems. went through the ADA process & the employee obtained a doctor's note to support their request. However, the note was questionable. it was from an acupuncturist, on a word doc, no real signature and just said that a standing desk would prevent pain & improve their productivity, nothing about him not being able to work without it. Thoughts? Also, what do you think about having certifications from non-traditional doctors?
So, any NON standing desk recommendations? I don’t really like standing desks. I’d like something that looks decent, that has at least some storage, with a good amount of… square footage, I guess?
I want to buy a standing desk, but don’t want to compromise on looks. Does anyone have any recommendations of ones to purchase??
What are the best ergonomic chairs under $400?
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones! A nice comfortable office chair. https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491 My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat. AMA.
Appellate folks and lawyers who write a lot…is there a device like an iPad or something similar I can use to save case law I’m using that also allows me to jot notes on the cases and save for later? Wife mentioned after walking into my home office “hey, you kill a lot of trees.” I just find it very useful when researching to print cases, make notes on the useful portions, and go back to them later when I’m writing.
Can’t decide between Steelcase Leap and Herman Miller Aeron office chair? Any opinions on either?
Can I ask to have my travel reimbursed for a client site in my home office city? There is no direct public transportation available to that site (70 min) and I would likely have to uber (15 min).
Thoughts on Partners in Performance? Heard good things about the company (good pay, lack of home office so work from anywhere) but not sure how they are really...
Any suggestions for good ergonomic office chairs? I will be seating very long hours, and Looking to spend between $250-$400
Worth getting iPad Pro if we travel often? Figure we can use it for second monitor activities as well. Opinions?
Hey all, new hire here! Going to receive a $250 wfh credit; any recs on what I should get to build out my home office?
Any experiences with the Bowery office chair? Or any recommendations for best desk chairs out there
Hi guys! My H1B just got approved on PP today and I’m ecstatic! Sending good vibes to everyone waiting. I’m quarantining in a different state than home office and wondering whether if I ask lawyers to file LCA for 10/1 and it gets denied, does that revoke my H1B entirely or am I still good and can continue just in my approved location? I see people mentioning getting RFEs on LCAs and I’m confused
But once again not posting

And the weekend has arrived! Let's see how many emails I can dodge over the next two days.
We shouldn't laugh at PwC, none of us would have done any better: Deloitte would be back at the office congratulating each other and forget about the envelope, EY would have never gotten there...
Hi Guys. Need help evaluating two offers: 1. McKinsey - Associate in Risk Consulting - $165K base/30K sign-on. NYC/Chicago. 2. Facebook - Program Manager in Security and Privacy - $160K base/$100K RSUs over 4 years/$20K sign-on. Bay Area I have 6 YOE at Deloitte in Cyber since graduating college. Has always been a desire to work at McK but don’t plan to stay in Consulting long term. Was all set to join McK until this offer came along. Any advice on what factors I need to consider?
My head is spinning 😵💫 is this real?
Reading the meeting agenda 10 seconds before the meeting only to find out you have to present... And still killed it
I asked a new analyst to help me with something & he kept playing dumb so much, no matter how much I explained it...that I ended up doing it myself. I think I was actually just schooled by him...
Deloitte folks - what are some of the best perks the company offers? (Considering an offer right now).
When the client comes in hot trying to prove you fucked up & you have proof in writing that they told you to do it. HUZZAHHH🎉🙌🏻💃🏻
Why do people want to keep WFH arrangements now that we seem to be moving towards an end to COVID restrictions ... ... (read: seem to have accepted that this is basically going to be endemic now) ... ? I hate WFH. I can't stand the sight of my kitchen any more, having been restricted to it for the last two years. I am so looking forward to the hustle and bustle of a busy office once more! Colleges I actually secretly hate? I have those! I've started to miss them!

On-site,client has been talking about voting for Trump, because he'll do something about foreigners coming here taking US jobs, and because gays are taking over the world. I'm both gay and a foreigner
I’m hearing that a recession is undoubtedly going to happen. Will we be impacted as Consultants and if so, to what extent?
