How can I make friends in Chicago?
I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Is it a good time to switch jobs

If you're trying to find a job now, wouldn't it be better to have it on your resume? Even though the tenure is short, it does show that you're employed. If you want to take it off your LinkedIn, don't worry about what people at your job will think or say. Your responsibility is to yourself and to find a new job. So whatever is best way to make that happen is the way to proceed.
Update: The initial call went well. The interviewer didn’t seem to care too much and said she was sorry I was in that situation. She also suggested that I should ask the hiring manager questions to avoid a similar situation. I was moved to the 2nd interview.
You could leave it there and say you were advised roles were changing which didnt suit you,so you are looking for s better situation.
Want a plausible deniability hack? Change the year you were at your job to 2023 but keep the months accurate, that way it'll look like human error to your current colleagues if anyone calls you out on it.
I am on the same spot. I am keeping it there and willing to talk about it during my interview.
Moved to a third interview, I’d say keep it there
I was told from a recruiter that if you are at a job for 6 months or less, you should take it off your resume. You dont want to have to explain to the next company why you were at a place for so short of a time. You have to look out for yourself in this tough job market. Trust your gut and do whats right for you and your family. Most of these companies see you just as a number anyway.
1) Remove the coworkers - go to Manage Network, search by name, click the little dots then Remove
2) With any new job, I'd wait at least 1 QTR to update LinkedIn and keep interviewing for this exact reason - bait and switch by employers and hiring mangers
what he said is a good angle at permoting how valuable you can be to the right company.
I would remove it, and in the future maybe hold off on adding a new company/work history to LinkedIn until you're solidified. Also LinkedIn allows you to make an employer 'confidential'.
LinkedIn is a glorified brag board, as a hiring manager I never sought out a LinkedIn profile from an applicant. I only ever used it to find talent/network.
I am sorry to hear that it wasn't a good fit OP. Especially because now is such a bad time to be looking for a new job. I would probably take it off your Linked in if you aren't going to have it on your resume.
Thanks!
I would remove it from your resume and linknd For youre previous job i would just put the year for the end date no month. Good luck.
I don’t recommend keeping anything 6 months or less on a resume. I also like my LinkedIn to match my resume.
I am also a counterman.
Maybe its better to remove it and save yourslf from the stress of explaining why it wasnt a good fit. Unless tiu are willing to explain well and ckear why. It has to be a very positive example outcome for yourself that the company fidnt offer ot commit to.
Is anyone else really struggling to find work and also seeing that employers have drastically reduced what they’re paying ?
