Personally handle VIPs, monitor feedback, ensure service etiquette, and respond quickly to any guest concerns.
3. Staff & Training
Train, motivate, and support your team while ensuring safety and hygiene standards are always met.
4. Financial Control
Track daily sales, control food and beverage costs, verify supplier invoices, and plan promotions effectively.
5. Inventory Management
Check stock levels, apply FIFO, and monitor liquor and food storage to prevent waste or loss.
6. Events & Banquets
Coordinate with planners, oversee setups, and ensure smooth execution of every event.
7. Compliance & Safety
Follow all food safety laws, conduct regular safety drills, and manage licenses responsibly.
8. Strategy & Reporting
Review competitors, innovate menus, analyze financials, and apply sustainable practices.
You could probably look this up online. If you just look up store manager roles it will tell you what the responsibilities are. And salaries for different locations can usually be found on there as well.
It would be easier to list what's not apart of my expected work duties
I find some of these a bit hard to answer, because they vary pretty significantly depending on the individual restaurant. At my last restaurant manager gig, I was doing 45-60 hour weeks. Start and end times varied depending on time of year.
