Just wanted to share a huge win! I was over employed for 8 weeks working 2 full time opportunities to secure my annual bonus that was paid out 3/15! I resigned from J1 and now only have J2.

I will say after 8 weeks I am amazed by all of you who can sustain this long term but my brain was fried. I will take a few weeks of peace but perhaps I am glutton for punishment but I truly think I could handle a part time job as my new J2. Any suggestions on part time PM or PO roles?

Has anyone on here moved from IB to management consulting as an experienced hire? How do you view the decision in retrospect?

Still trying to figure out this whole Fishbowl thing, so here goes my first post.

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Any input on employers is appreciated!

very Selective jobs( MF PE and BB IBs) kinda blow these numbers out of the water... but for the more attainable exits like MM IB and and corporate development... considering wlb and pay, is the grass much greener?

I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. Feeling under-qualified for non-FAANG tech product counsel role. Final interview upcoming. I'm a BigLaw junior and pivoted to data privacy/cybersecurity a year ago.

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’m starting a financial analyst position at a major hospital system in my area soon and want to stick with that for a couple years before making a transition but was curious if I just don’t have the right experience for a role in advisory.

When picking up a J2, how much should you include about J1 on a background check?

I really want to get a second job but I am scared of losing my current one. Both companies are in same field, although not direct competitors so I know it’s technically “not allowed” however, this is the only way for me to get that $$ since I am not paid all that well.

Of course I won’t tell a single friend/coworker. Only my partner. And I don’t post work stuff on social media.

Does anyone have any insight on picking up a J2 while working for the US Federal Government? Does holding a high security clearance play a role in maintaining a J1&2; as in, will periodic clearance checks for J1 hit on J2?

My current role is hybrid with at least two days a week in office. However, with the potential economic downturn, I'm considering holding on to the role to supplement my income.

I'm new to the overemployed movement, so I'm evaluating the feasibility of holding onto the hybrid role and the remote position.
