Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

You should get a Toyota 4Runner
Can vouch for a 4Runner too! It’s not the sleekest looking SUV, but you can drive it for life!

Depends on cost 💲 and what you want to spend. I mean a ford maverick or a Toyota Tacoma should do the job on the lower end of the cost spectrum. On the medium end the spectrum there are Subarus which can handle the job. Higher end: Toyota 4Runner, Rivian RT, Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defender.
You can also get accessories for the pilot to have the hard shells on the roof rack.
I've been staring at my neighbor's Defender and almost bought one a few months ago. I know Rovers aren't supposed to suck as much as they used to

The new plug-in hybrid Jeep Rubicon. They strap beautifully to the roll bars when the top is off. And when it's on, I keep them on a roof rack.
