The director in question should be unfriended on LinkedIn.
Said director swore I’d at least get an interview 😭 I’m wondering if I did the application wrong at this point
Hiring freeze in a lot of areas right now
Try again after Oct 1, they’ve basically stopped all hiring/ interviews until the new fiscal year.
I was wondering this, too. Thanks!!
Change your email and re apply.
Let me know when you want to apply again after 10/1. Happy to review your resume
Thank you!

Same thing happened with me at PwC 😵💫 SM referral but still, not even a screening call
I’ll refer u again if you want
May your profile ain’t strong enough. Referral not does guarantee an interview.
Yes, and same office.
😂🤣🤣 here I thought KPMG just hated me
If the postings I got rejected for are still up past Oct 1, could I apply again to them? This is specific to State and Local. Very limited A/SA roles posted under Advisory, State and Local
You are not good at taking hints, are you?
On serious note, A lot goes into recruiting, eg are all in house resources busy or just some people are, does this candidate has the skills that firm needs badly, what are macro economic indicators, etc.
A director’s interest has to align with a lot of other factors especially in big firms.
Touché Author. Anyways, I was trying to explain that sometimes people (recruiters or directors) will set expectations with candidates but there are reprioritizations happening at leadership level in all companies. Every company is scrutinizing even the existing open reqs, just in case recession does come, companies don’t have to lay off people. Nobody wants to do layoffs, its no fun for anyone involved in it. So I won’t be surprised if a company slows down hiring for a bit. Google has frozen hiring and so have other companies.
