Am I stupid for doing a Roth 401(k) instead of a regular 401k during my BigLaw stint? I'm risk-averse and just love the idea of never having to pax taxes on whatever grows in that account.

I have about $80K in savings cash. I really want to start investing. I talked to a financial advisor who wanted to charge a fee of 2% to invest in a series of funds. However, I saw that you can use a Vanguard financial advisor for a fraction of 1%. Any thoughts on one versus the other? How much of my savings should I invest?
