Looking to get my AWS Certified Solutions Architect cert

My firm is offering a self study service for 6 weeks, but just found out my local college is doing a free live boot camp/course for 8 weeks…

People who have taken it, which option should I do? I have a somewhat technical background (CCNA certified) but I don’t have much AWS exposure.

How long did I take you if you don’t mind me asking?

Associate is alot of things to digest, it is worthwhile taking longer to study. Did mine back in the beginning of covid, good course.

Your ccna will definitely help on VPCs

The remainder is memorizing services and concepts. HIGHLY concept and content heavy test

Not sure what bonus Deloitte pays out (if any for this cert) lol.

But thanks for your insight. Just wondering if having an instructor in a class format guide me would be worth the extra 3 weeks (if i do the self study route I’ll probably try to pound out the udemy course in 5 weeks)

If u only want the certificate, go to any local training center and ask them u need a certificate, they'll ask a few buck more than the certificate fee and they'll get u a genuine certificate.

Local trainings can potentially aid you but I’d say bite the bullet and get Adrian Cantrill’s course. It’s the gold standard in my eyes and well worth the out of pocket cost.

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Folks, I'm currently in search of a mentor. I'm a 28y/o MSc grad and starting a Junior Funding Consultant role (writing grant applications for startups) as I'm tired of holding out for an entry level role in ESG/Sustainability - I keep getting rejections despite completing a very wide ranging internship at a renewable energy company. Last year I received an offer at Deloitte Belgium but due to Brexit & VISA delays, we couldn't continue. Now I'm unsure of my career progression & need guidance.

Would would a senior product manager do over and beyond a product manager. We don’t have any seniors at my startup and I’m trying to figure out what I need to do/achieve to get promoted. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've been following Coforge LinkedIn page, and I have decent offer from them. In one call HR said we will be moving towards 5 days work from Office, to which I said I don't mind. Now that aside, their LinkedIn posts everyone at VP SVP levels are joining.. seems like they are growing very fast, as hiring at such high Positions happens only that time.

Question is - whenever I compare Coforge with any other people say avoid Coforge.. Why????
