Don't just look at the salary
Look at all other benefits
Cost of benefits current place vs new
401 k match
Bonus
PTO days
Growth opportunities
Happiness at the job
Any other job related costs at both places
Thank you, benefits seems to be almost the same but that’s a great point. Bonus sounded like might be better. Which I was on that account for a year I definitely enjoyed working with the group, but they are growing and I am hoping it won’t be at the cost of cultural change or shift
OP - was in a similar position. Try to understand the rest of their compensation structure, stock, annual refreshers, 401k, espp etc and negotiate a signing bonus and relocation
How did it turn out ? Do you regret making that decision ? I might be able to negotiate the signing bonus to minimize the gap but for example this year I got 0% salary increase like pretty much most of my co workers

I would negotiate and see if they are able to come up a bit to make it easier to jump, and express that it’s an opportunity that you are legitimately tempted by.
We’ve been negotiating and now the difference from my current TC is around 15%

$0. You can always find another job in your pay range, don’t take a cut just to leave in a hurry. Tell them that you can’t make the salary work and present another figure
Understand your point, but honestly the main driver is am not feeling fulfilled and enjoy what I do as much as I used to

I couldn’t care less about their “vision” but I’d take a pay cut if I thought long term potential for higher comp was strong

I understand what you’re saying. I just don’t personally care. More cumulative money in my pocket is all I care about.
My number is a range: 15-20.
I'm willing to go in Industry for better WLB even if that comes with a 15—20% cut in TC.
I'll bite if I were you.
How large is the difference % wise? I would take upto a 10% paycut I am thinking if I really enjoyed the place and the people. Anything more than that would be challenging for me personally.
Around 15% as of now
I would never take a job with a pay cut
I understand where you are coming from. Like I mentioned before my mental health and well being worth few $ a month
