Married 🐟: combining finances. Did either of you close credit cards to go with one bank? Hubs uses Chase I use BoA...we want to have his, hers, and ours but under 1 bank for ease. What do u think?

Do it, and make sure it's a bank D doesn't audit... what a pain.

D1, what are the implications if it is a bank D audits? My hubs might start working for our largest audit client 😬

You should call independence

Just more things to deal with. It's allowed until SM, I think, but at some point you'll have to move the accounts anyway. The job is no big deal.

If either of you has access to USAA, use them for everything: banking, credit cards, insurance. They are awesome!

BoA has a lower checking and savings balance ceiling compared to Chase. But if you think your balance won't go below $5K, then Chase has better banking benefits. Chase CCs are hands down better than BoA CCs. Think Chase is a winner here

For EY, as long as it's checking without overdraft and within FDIC limits (150k, I think) it doesn't matter if channel 1 or 2. But if you want to put cards and investments alongside checking/savings, agree to check independence and go with channel 2

Simplicity is invaluable. Besides moving to something together is a good plan from a relationship perspective. It sounds like you are on the right track. 👍

I think it’ll somewhat improve QOL but with parking, insurance, gas and financing costs I’m not sure spending almost 1K/month is a good idea at 22.

The other problem is that used cars are so damn expensive right now so I can’t just buy a used mx5 for 5-10K

What does an exit from Salesforce consulting look like? I’m in a technical role leading a small team so my understanding is a technical/solution architect or a development team lead at either Salesforce or an end user like Amazon/Amex.

I have bounced around a couple consulting companies so would prefer not to do it again. Total 4 YOE.

I don’t think I have enough YOE to go for a program architect role at SF otherwise I’d be interested.

Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars.

Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.
