Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Pay at MBB isn't negotiable below partner level. They are probably asking more from a process standpoint. Base and bonus/profit sharing for general consulting staff at C1 is about 200-210k and at manager it is closer to 275-300k. Couldn't tell you for Digital or Mck Solutions but they're probably 30% less. So I think you will see a bump.
Btw - not all ACN MBA strats come in at $145 - it depends on city and past experience. I came in as a manager at $165 in a small Midwest city (not Chicago) but it was because of my past experience and clinical degree. A friend in NYC came in as a consultant at $120K and he had robotics engineering experience. Makes no sense. And this was all in last year.
Way to move around within MBBA! 😂
You need someone fromMBB but I would tel them what you are making AND tell them what your expectations are.
It's an industry standard. Disclose and if you don't like offer... Walk away.
Quote it at the highest with max bonus
I'd ask for 160k OP
I will ask for 160 base. What do I do when they ask what I'm currently making?
None of their business! Deflect and say what I'm making has nothing to do with the value you bring. Say you know the markets and the ranges for MBB and that your target is 160
Lol crossed in cyberspace thanks guys
I shouldn't expect a signing bonus right? Also, I applied for the position in NYC... should I expect them to cover relocation?
Unsure about a signing bonus; not sure how we treat that for experienced hires. Also, if you perform well, you'd typically have a lot of flexibility to transfer offices in 1-2 years
OP how is applying to a job in NYC being forced to move? How did you just realize NYC is expensive? Before you get down the path too far, I'd say final rounds have a 10-15% success rate so maybe you won't be forced to move at all...
I interviewed with McKinsey last year through final round and I have to say it was front to back the most positive interviewing experience I've ever had - even though I didn't get the final offer. McKinsey is classy, and won't try to get you on the cheap, I would feel confident that what they offer you is going to be competitive. And if you do get it, I would take it. McKinsey is a better name on your resume than where you're coming from.
Yah I folded lol. I know.... I'm a total pussy.
Wow I must've really messed up the last interview. They want me to do another interview... I'm not even sure I want to work for these guys anymore after how badly I was treated by the last guy.
Yeah, I've heard that it's kind of a career killer with your firm to get an offer and then stay for a counter.
They'll always ask you to disclose it you don't have to. Just turn it around and tell them what your desired package looks like.
I'm a manager in a Midwest city w/ 110 salary. They want me to move to NYC. I would also take a demotion to a consultant lvl. What would you guys ask for in comp?
CDO?
