Moving to the Bay Area fall this year from the east. I’ll be working out of Los Gatos and my wife out of San Bruno we have two kids (4 and 2). Looking at the move to the west as short term (~2 yrs) and looking to rent a place for now (2 or 3 bedroom max). Anyone have recommendations on places around the Bay Area to rent so it’s an easy commute for my wife and me (max 3 days a week in the office) as well as for a family. Thoughts ?

I’m trying to get a good idea on whether or not to leave my current firm. I have 10 YOE in the military (similar field) and departed active duty last year. I was offered 95k to start where I’ve been for the past year, but have already been offered much more for an industry position. I’ve done the PMP and CSM thing, am getting my TS/SCI now, and am about halfway through my MPA. Is it fair to tell my company I would only stay for at least $127k? Or am I just a complete noob?
