Big law specialist with an offer to be the CFO and GC of a 250M AUM hedge fund. All in comp would probably be ~$300k, so about $100k less than where I would be in big law (including bonus). Potential to get involved in the business side, but most likely more of a back office role (I would also be the only legal hire - main goal would be cutting outside legal cost and streamlining processes). I joined EY GDS 10 months back at 40% hike (leaving PwC) and now Deloitte (DIJV) is offering me 2 level up designation at Manager level with another 40% hike. This has effectively doubled my salary in the last one year bt still I am confused to switch or not considering the amazing bonuses GDS payed off today. Please suggest.
