SVP with only 10 years of experience? Agencies have weird title structures
Yes we certainly do! I feel like when I started working in PR in 2008, SVPs had more like 15-20 years of experience. Now I have peers who are age 30.
I’d say $140-170k is probably realistic
16 years - was in NYC most of my career, but recently moved to DC.
I currently manage five SVPs at a large agency and they range from $175-$205k. Large markets. PR/account management roles. Bless those that are saying $275k but that is far outside the range I’ve seen across a significant sample in my career.
Agreed
Yeah, that feels off but I’d say $200k-$280k.
I don't know about large agencies, but as a VP, not SVP,, I make $145K as a remote employee for a boutique agency in a tier 2 market.
I’ve been fishing around for the same answer and I got 275 minimum.
Following!
10 years of relevant experience- definitely $275 min but at some agencies it could approach $300.
Financial comms is better compensated, judging by this person's title that's what they do.
Coach
When you say “large agency” are we using PR Week rules where there is “large” and “extra large” agencies? How many people are in this agency?
Also following
I'm an SVP at a large agency with 16 years of experience and I make $208k.
