Could anyone kindly tell me about the Investment Management and Private Equity Audit Group at Deloitte? 1. Work Life Balance (Is it worst than the ordinary Big 4 WLB?) 2. Is it an entirely different audit from commercial/retail audits (think account balances etc.) 3. Difficult to learn how to audit clients in this industry without prior experience in the industry?(been doing commercial audits for 3 years) 4. Are there relatively good exit opportunities for this audit group? Deloitte PwC EY

I wouldn’t accept a job that is temp to perm, there’s no guarantee of future employment and they can string you along forever.

Anytime friend, i was in a temp to perm situation once when i was much younger and i trusted the word of the person who was my boss at that time because he kept saying it would happen, he then left and i ended up dangling for another 6 months trying to jump through hoops to get approvals and win over the new boss. In the end i really needed health benefits so i ended up leaving for a staff role at another agency. Not saying you would have the same experience but just lending a word of caution.
This is BEYOND helpful to me. It's great hearing other experiences because I've never been in this position before where there's a temp role on the table. I've only ever had permanent roles. That's my concern too...how is going perm measured?? Truth be told right now, if it comes through until I land a perm role....I could use the money!!
Be careful with the temp to perm situation. Get it in writing when you’ll be re-evaluated, as someone else suggested. But even if they do an evaluation at say 60-90 days, and they LOVE you, that’s no guarantee you’ll be brought on FT. It’s all about headcount. I’ve been through it myself. Spent about 9 months at another agency as a temp (and in my role the temp rate is below what I’d make in salary FT) and had to be a PITA to my manager and HR to get traction. It was a financial struggle for me till I was hired. I’ve known people who were temps for YEARS before they were hired. Don’t forget you won’t have health insurance or 401(k) as a temp, so you need to be honest about what you’re comfortable with. There are no guarantees.
Yep! Definitely have!
