Need to take a day off for a job interview with a competitor. How do I ask my manager for this? I should not mention the interview at all right?

Hey everyone! I’m interviewing for an HR Generalist role at a Fintech company, this will be their first HR hire and will be reporting to the CFO. I got invited to a second round interview to meet the team to ensure that it’s a good culture fit. I would love to know any thoughts on what I should ask or do to ensure that I am great fit. I left a good impression on the CFO but would to see what else so can do when meeting with the team since it’ll be a 2.5 hour meet up. I’m really excited!

If I get a google offer and turn it down, does it stay valid for a certain period of time or can it be applied to accelerating future interviews? I think meta does something like this but was curious if google does too

I manage programs at multiple hospital across the state. I’ve been doing this with much success for >10yrs (I’m the long standing top performer). When my boss was elevated to Sr Director over many depts, we were promised a manager role would open. That FTE was given to another dept. I have an interview with another division in the same org, it would be lateral move but a growing division. How can i leverage that for a leadership position in my current area? Or should I move on?

I had an interview and the recruiter (White F) could not stop talking about DEI and POC % hires. It’s great yes but I didn’t even mention or ask about it yet. Barely had time to talk about myself. I was slightly uncomfortable. She made me feel like a diversity hire.
