What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.
Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?

I recently joined from another firm and also took a small pay cut (7%). I am enjoying it so far but I believe it’s about where you are in your career. You’re about to start from scratch with regards to proving yourself, building a network within the firm, knowing how the firm does things, etc. if you feel like you have the time to do that then I believe the brand/jump is worth it. If you don’t have the time or interest in starting over - keep the money. My .02
Better brand, though. Can you push them on comp? How much lower?
Make the move. Sometimes a fresh start is just that
Got it my will be around 12-15% - I’m going to do it, I’m coming to realize I’d rather do work I want to do rather than getting paid more to do work I don’t want to do
I took a pay cut to join and it was absolutely the right decision
@C1 we have standard comp levels by role (C1, C2, PL1, PL2) and there is absolutely no flex
If you’re doing the same stuff or have the same-ish project opportunities - something I suspect ATK actually provides - it’s not a bad idea to just stay where you are and not forgo the lost salary. Perhaps even use this to ask for a higher salary. However, why would you go through that whole interview process if you didn’t want to take the offer?
Yea I’m only 27 now and have been with ATK for just a year and a 1/2, I’m excited about the role at BCG and the work I’d be doing so I’m strongly considering taking the pay cut and coming over
BCG2 how big of a pay cut was it?
OP, sounds like there's more to this. Is this the same level? I can't imagine BCG having meaningfully lower comp.
10%
I thought the work opps were similar at Atk but just at a lower magnitude of non-ops work?
