At least 12!
Nothing to see here
Definitely not "at least 8" for me... 😭
Ahh understood. That’s the struggle.
8
7-8 hours. But I do .10 increments. It depends on what is going on that day... Can easily be 6.5-7
If I'm in the office (like pre COVID) probably 8-9 total hours on my timesheet. Working from home makes it weird. Some days I might start work at 8 and finish at 6 but if it's a slow day I took longer breaks in the middle
At least 8hrs billable and no more than 2hrs non-billable.
8-9 on my most focused days?? But could be 5-6 when I let myself get distracted. Depends on the day and the tasks.
At least 12
7.5-8
I worked 9 to 6:30 today and billed 8.3. The remaining 1.2 was spent using the bathroom, eating lunch, briefly playing with my cat, chatting with my wife, and at one point getting myself situated for a conference call.
Try to log the time you aren’t assigning to your billable matters to nonbillable numbers. A lot of firms have admin numbers for things like tech issues, practice meetings, mentoring, organizing files, etc. You aren’t lying about your time if you can fit it into those nonbillable matters and you should get credit where you can. Otherwise people may think you have more time on your hands than you really do. While they may not always count towards a bonus, it’s good to capture that day!
Also make sure you’re padding your hours. I had a partner who billed .2 for every letter he received, even if it was like “enclosed please find Plaintiff’s interrogatories”
Damn I was going to say 6. I do take a 1+ hour lunch lol.
