Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Entry level sucks everywhere. In risk you get a holistic view of a company and actually can become a real advisor to organizations in operational activities (like I just helped a large org. Implement monitoring systems)
This is a really important thing and something to stress on during the recruitment process- you see a lot of things and have experiences that you just couldn't get otherwise of how a business really operates
IT is cool and I'm paid a lot. That's all you need for recruiting.

None, there gonna shove you on SOX compliance projects till your brain glazes over. Hours, Pay, Exit-OPs terrible. There a reason B4 lies about the job to every new hire. My life has gotten worse in every facet since starting in this field.

Just tell them that the company is offering a very competitive salary and benefits. Of course it has to be true. Otherwise prepare to be cursed by everyone.
Unless you offer exciting benefits and a high salary, I don't think there's any other way you can recruit.
I think the main motivating factor for people right now is their salary. Most of them choose a low-paying job because they do not have a choice.
