First go through the internal project interview then client interview if not selected then again tons of interview. Why they people take interviews at the time of hiring.
I am feeling depressed now.

Been where you are OP - ok with occasional 6am calls for either when truly necessary, but the rule is 9am. People can't expect you to always bend to their timezone and give you no grace.
My requirement for India (and other countries with similar time zone differences) is I need to know at least a day in advance about early calls because I had one guy who would always send me invites at 2/3am Pacific for a 5/6am Pacific call, knowing my requirement, and then complain I didn't join. No sh!t I didn't join. How would I have seen that in time to join?
That’s insane to me. People are insane.

7am PST meetings for east coast clients. Start early, end early, I actually prefer it.
Fortunately, no India timezone

I had 7am PST calls and 9pm PST calls with AC, I would take off in the middle of the day at like 3 pm for a few hours and come back at like 7pm.
I'd also step away from 8am - 9am to get ready for the day.
This is the way to manage
I reside in CST and have client work spread out from AU, UK, and throughout the US. I have teams in India that work US hours so that part is easier. With one client that has AU staff with an associated entity I have been pressing the CFO to ask them to flex some for calls instead of me always staying on late in the evening. She's PST so it's no problem for her.

I was MST and was joining calls at 6am and going until ~3/4pm. I would take a lot of offshore calls at 11pm instead of waking up earlier to start their morning.
Current projects have PST people joining at 5:30am and having to go until 7pm for APAC calls. You’re honestly F’d if you work ET with a financial services company

Do less calls. Like twice weekly rather than daily. Communicate more asynchronous
I wake up at 4:45 A.M., start my work day at 6 A.M., and I’m done by 2 pm on a good day.
It’s really nice to avoid the 9-5 crowds in the mornings and afternoons.
