Per the Ceo JP Morgan it's not the company responsibility for a work life balance it's the employee job. Do you agree or disagree with his statement. I think he's correct to a certain point. It's up to me to choose the right company that promotes work life balance and stay away from companies that doesn't promote it.

Disagree. It’s the company’s job to retain talent

I worked in the corporate offices for JP Morgan Chase for ten years and personally interacted with Jamie Dimon a hand full of times. We had to hear him speak during meetings on several occasions and although he was not unpleasant, he was completely detached & out of touch with us “peasants”; so I’d take anything he says with a grain of salt.

I agree to a point. Whether or not the company promotes balance, it's up to me to set my own boundaries and take my time.

Business needs come first for them so we have to look out for our own well-being. So if they want me to handle it, let me handle it- approve my PTO and get out of the way

The company has a responsibility to not kid impossible demands of workload on employees and expect high output. There’s a word for that… 🧐

I honestly think it takes both company and employee. Company is responsible for creating a culture that supports a balance. Employee is responsible for deciding and maintaining what that balance looks like for themself.

I agree with UW above. There's a certain point that a company can respect work life balance but you also have to have clear boundaries for yourself.

I disagree

I wouldn’t take anything Jamie Dimon says seriously. He just says stuff every day to be in the news. Most of his predictions about the economy are wrong and he’s pretty full of himself

Recently received an offer from Ogletree to do only class action work. It'll be a big change for me, I'll be starting as a fourth year. Double my current salary, etc.

What will this be like? It's more of a niche, but lucrative, part of their practice, right? Will I really get good WLB like they claim? I have a nice 40 hour a week job right now, no billables.

Hello All,

I have recently received an offer letter from NTT data, may i know the average yearly hike and WLB.
Role: Consultant
Skill: SAP MM
Exp : 4.3 years

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!
