This just makes the round. Gorgeous day in Florida.

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Hi, I am being offered 27L + 2L Variable for Manager (M1) at KPMG India. Will I also be eligible for year end performance bonus? Or is variable pay the only amount that I’d be eligible for?
Am I being lowballed by the HR in terms of offer ? Approx 8yoe currently at 21LPA (recently promoted) KPMG KPMG India

I made the switch at 33, not too far off. It's very much possible!
Once worked with an expert in his late 50s who had made the transition 2-3 years earlier.
It's pretty fast career progression, so age doesn't matter all that much. If you like it you can stay, if not, you do it for 2-3 years then go back to a higher level in industry
Just to echo, I joined McK when I was 34 as a generalist associate out of a post doc fellowship.
Had a couple of kids. The travel was hard. There was some awkwardness when working with managers that were younger than I was but you just have to be careful to be humble.
It is doable but a big big change.
Just about every major and boutique firm has a division of pharma/biotech consulting arm. Focus there to leverage your scientific bckgd.
Tough, I see the struggle, but at the same time…dude you have a wicked background. It’s not like you’re not going to be able to take care of them haha
ZS has lots of people with science backgrounds!
Thank you so much guys. This is my 1st time posting here and I probably should have asked those questions earlier. This is very helpful. I'm thinking now slowing down my pace for MBA and focus on case prep/interview to get foot in the door first
