I got hired straight out from college 5 years ago from a small CPA firm and have worked in Tax ever since. Lately, I feel like this is not what I'm actually into. What else I can do with my Accounting degree?

My passion is Real Estate and Interior Design, love Managerial Accounting, I can sit for hours analyzing data, I also have a degree in Supply Chain Management.

My passion cannot feed my family but I've been burned out so much after years in Tax. 😞

First-year tax staff that started end of Q3, and just had my first year-end performance evaluation meeting. I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I got married in 2021. Before my wedding I lived in State#1 and after the wedding I moved to State#2. My spouse lived in State#2 the entire year.
Can I file as Married Jointly in such a way that State#1 only calculates my income for the portion of the year I lived there?

Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. Why is it when I owe money to a state from my annual tax filings, if I don’t pay the full amount I get charged interest. But when they owe me, they ask for additional documentation and won’t pay me interest for them stonewalling me. Not much volatility y/y in earnings.
