Not norm. 5% is not a promotion raise unless your market is doing terrible.
Or you were already in top scale of pay previously
5%???!!!!! That's barely inflationary raise 😱
Hold on, their is a cap of how much you can make at each level?
I was upset at a 11% senior promotion raise. Was only 1% higher than my second to third year associate raise.
I received 14% when I was promoted.
^Agree with D1
I was rated a 2 in my promotion year to Senior and got just over a 6% raise... I had already capped out in the pay band.
Yes there are pay bands
I thought my 11% Promo to senior was low... 5% doesn't sound right
That is unusual. In NYC risk assurance, A1 3s got 8% last year. 5% is insulting unless you were already at the top
OP is the 5% for performance in addition to the 5% you get for senior promotion?
I just got promoted to senior with a 9% raise. I'd already capped out my pay and though. Others in my start class got close to 20%. 5% is reasonable (though still depressing) if you were an external hire with a higher base to start.
My career coach said I was already at the high end of the range when I was first hired a year ago and that I got a really good offer but 5% seriously has me wanting to leave for something better
OP - can you talk in dollars/market/LoS? Given what you've said, this is all conjecture on our side.
5% is low....even 10% is low for promotion raise. Last year senior promotion raise for KPMG was 15% (based on a friend)
Currently making 66.7k as a first year senior in assurance in the south region
More specifically where in the south region? Yes that sounds pretty reasonable as I'm hoping to break 60K. 51k start, 7.3% increase last year to staff 2. I heard someone similar to my ranking (top of the class) received about 15% which would put me around 62k. This is all audit miami
Heard your coach has to present tier to your RP/RL and RP/RL normally accepts what coach suggested unless you have strong relationship with RP/RL...With good performance review, you can get tier 3 if your RP doesnt know you much or never really works with you.
