Pulse check, are your firms cutting benefits? BCG has been for the last year (intelligently timed to coincide with our raises, which were appreciated). Wondering if this is a broader trend.

I don’t use or pay attention to most of my benefits. I mean yeah I maximize firm’s 401k match, I do a health plant etc. but think about things like mental health benefit or financial wellness / planning benefit. These miscellaneous things I don’t really pay attention to or utilize. My major health plan hasn’t changed nor has the 401k match, so I’m inclined to say no, but to the extent there’s a lesser benefit that’s been taken away that I’ve never cared for, I couldn’t tell you. My general sense or feeling is that our benefits haven’t changed substantially, but I could be wrong since I’m not an expert.

The answer is “no, I don’t think so, but could be wrong”. The provided response both addresses the question as well as provides my qualifications for addressing the question. Do you happen to be a benefits representative and feel that you can adequately speak to all benefits offered by your firm?

Any healthcare consultants here that transitioned from clinical roles? I’m in the middle of interviewing for an analyst position in HC for Huron. I have 6 YOE as an OT in the hospital settings and also experience as a rehab coordinator.

Hi everyone- I am a NE partner at a Work Comp firm. I’m considering moving into a County Council (CC) position. There are a lot of considerations and one being I’ll make a lot more money initially at the CC position, eventually there’s a cap to how much I can make in government work. But I also don’t know the salary potentials at my current firm so maybe 245k (top range of CC position) is about the same as partner + the other benefits(CalPERS Etc) advice on considerations in this decision?

What would you do? All offers are best and final

I once had a job where I was ultimately made to be the scapegoat for the many problems at the company. It was an extremely difficult time and I had very little support. Plus it was during the pandemic. I spent the next couple of years looking for another full time position. Thankfully, I found one last month. Soon after I started, I realized I’m still troubled by that toxic experience. I’m now using my newly acquired EAP benefits to address it because I’m afraid of it happening again.
