Most likely the recruiter is waiting on the CD to get back to them before they can get back to you. What sucks about these scenarios is that a lot of recruiters won't simply say that in order to at least acknowledge receipt and status of things so you're not sitting there agonizing about it. On that note, don't agonize about it. This stuff takes some self confidence and certain level of caring but not being desperate. Don't follow up more than once weekly if no response. That's a bit much. Email the recruiter next Tue (not Mon) at like 10-11am after they've had their coffee and gone through their morning email pile so that yours pops up new in their inbox. Write that you're checking in on rescheduling as you continue to be very much excited about the opportunity and end with a direct question as a CTA - " When do you feel is realistic to expect some availability on the CD's calendar?"
Good luck!
It's also a vacation week
I say reach out again. Maybe they are busy/sick/distracted.
Thank you everyone. I will wait until after the long weekend
They never reschedule. I followed up on Monday.. crickets. Can I follow up again? I really want to work for this place.
Another thought I had was to reach out to the CD but I’m keeping this for last since I’ve never had direct communication with him.
