Question for solo workers that don’t sit with their team, how do you navigate working this way and building relationships with those you physically sit with when you are in the office? (though they may not be your direct team)
Or managers who have a direct/directs in different regions, how do you make a point to include your directs that don’t physically sit in the same office as you?

My was mom grumbling while working on a flier for her non-profit job. I asked if she was ok. She angrily told me her boss had went into the file, redone her entire concept, and added more words. So I told her what I tell myself, “There’s always another way to say something.” I also said that my bosses change my work, too. Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.

Optum - 11.7 fixed + 1.75 VP + 50K JB but the work is simple User access management with no exposure to IAM tool.
