I will keep mine. Though, only so that I can burn them.
Passed 10 years ago. Kept them for 2 years. Moved all around, threw them out along the way. Never missed them.
I have not referred back to my books and passed all of them last year
When I passed I was living in a 4th floor walkup in NYC. I was at a concert and heard scores came out around 11pm. Got home later that night and opened my laptop (pre firm allowed iPhone days so no way to check on mobile) heard I passed and immediately threw all materials out my window. Never regretted it.
Nope
I have referred back to Becker.
No, I got rid of the books asap. I have referenced the gov & nfp chapters via pdfs I found online though. Studying these chapters in Becker is the only exposure I ever had to gov & nfp accounting as I never learned these topics in school. So I found it easiest to understand Becker's explanation when I wanted to refresh my memory during my first couple gov & nfp clients. It wasn't necessary at all, just helpful for me. However, the pdfs of these sections are easily found online so keeping the book is definitely not necessary at all.
