Really struggling to stay on task and focused on work with the 201+ other things to take care of in my personal life (doctors appointments, school tours, next size up in clothing, grocery order, etc) not to mention just tired. Please share your daily schedule if you have to bill 1900+ hours a year. Also, I’m the breadwinner but don’t make market. Can’t afford to outsource. How do I survive?

I am considering leaving firm life altogether for similar reasons. I can’t do it anymore.

I get paid less than new hires with less experience and when I tried to negotiate, they brought up that my hours didn’t stand out against my peers. (Don’t know how new hires with less experience and no hours makes sense to them, but that’s all I need to know)

like

I’m in a similar boat. Maybe consider going in-house. If you’re already not making market at 1900+ billable hours, you might at least reclaim some of your time by leaving firm life.

It would still be a significant pay decrease from what I’ve seen.

Following. No tips, just solidarity.

Has anyone found roles in Big 4 or industry that allowed more work life balance when their kids were young without damaging future career trajectory? I'm a partner with young kids and feel like I'm missing out on too much of their lives. Wishful, but my dream job would have a lighter workload in terms of time and pressure for the next ~5 years, but not set me back too much (or at all) when the kids are older and tired of me in a few years and I'm ready to be back at work full force.

I'm an RN of 7 years, experience as a coordinator, on committees and do all the things. But now I just don't want to go to work anymore. I have anxiety every morning over nothing, just having to go perform my job. I could do my job in my sleep so I'm just lost and confused. My body is clearly sending me messages to leave. But where do I go? I think I need to step out of patient care.

Any WFM nurses out there? Better work-life balance??

Currently have Series 24, 7, 63,65

Currently work in a very unique Wealth Management ops role.

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?

Though my current company is an mnc but not that big and no work pressure is there, amazing work life balance. However, there is little to no learning and its very slow, the project is just starting and the client itself is not clear what they want. Do you think I should switch just because its a big 4. Please help me decide. Yoe -3.5
