Nope, go with microsoft and then try in 2 years again as SC
Literally 0 reason to not take Microsoft
If you stay MS and are able to lateral internally to a tech-adjacent role (if you can't move to a straight tech role), total comp will remain higher than at Deloitte for the foreseeable future, especially if you start getting RSUs included in your comp package.
Long term, it depends on what you want to do in your career. If you want to stay in tech, definitely stay with MS. If you want to switch to consulting, D is a more applicable brand name, but it would be better to stay at MS for a few years to build your skillset and then move to D at a higher level.
I'm not familiar with MS specific benefits, but I believe benefits there are better than at D, too, so that's another factor to consider.
Either way, stay at MS for now.
Extremely valuable insight, thank you
Totally agree with everyone else here. Go with Microsoft. Both are strong brands. D will take you at a better role in couple of years and pay better after you have focused experience at Microsoft.
Go micr
Benefits and comp are better at MS. Only potential downside is you will have slower comp velocity (raises) at MS so negotiate starting salary and stocks hard before you accept. I’d say MS. Good luck
Go to Microsoft, this is a no brainer
I worked at deloitte as a manager and now at ms...comp and benefits way higher and work /personal life balance is to be found you will not get that at D. Also ms has leading cloud technology you will master. Ceo satya nadella has positively transformed the company and culture. Everyone gets RSU also. Microsoft over D is a no brainer.
Ms!
