Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?
What is your wage? (and from which country?)

I tried working at a call center before. I am not sure what was worse, the constant customers hanging up on me or my manager being nasty to me. Retail is definitely so much easier, I'm with you on that!
Oh, it was terrible! I wish I could make a little more money in retail, but it is what it is for now, I suppose!
I feel you. It was definitely a learning experience for me, and I was glad to have the opportunity to try something new. Unfortunately, it wasn't the right fit for me and I decided to go back to my retail job. It's a much better environment and I'm glad to be back.
As I always say, it helps to be dead inside ;)
Same exact thing happened to me, almost word for word. spent 5 years in retail, left for a call center doing collections for a car dealership, lasted 2 weeks before leaving and going back to my previous retail job. i'm not built for call center work at all. I also have phone anxiety. i was hoping a call center job would help me overcome it. Unfortunately it seemed to do the opposite lol
I always told people that you have to develop a real f'd up sense of humor to last very long. And for the most part all of the “veterans” I’ve known have fit that mold lol.
I'm glad you decided to go back to something that doesn't make you miserable! Not sure what was the trigger, but I've been able to flip the switch and let more of what's said just roll off my back. Doesn't mean I don't think the job is difficult emotionally; I'm not some cold monster. But, I guess I do like it. I like to help people. I like to do the right thing for whoever is on my line.
