Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Oooooooh! I want this desk!!!!
OP, there’s always this as well 😂
I have the Jarvis Bamboo. It’s good. I wish I had got the l shaped but it was too expensive for me at that time.

I’ve been using the Jarvis Adjustable Desk from Fully for years and it’s been solid. In fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one when I moved across country. There are a few different options and I went with the bamboo one (both times). Hope this helps!
Do some yoga, core strength exercises, you need to have stronger core so your back can take the load for 8 hrs when you are sitting in a chair. I had a same issue 2 years ago, I saw a doc and strenghtening my core has helped me a lot!
I was gonna say this. Also some basic Pilates ab exercises. Completely fixed my lower backaches.
I’ve been using an Autonomous Bamboo standing desk for a while. It’s a solid desk.

I’ve been using this for almost three years and it’s still going strong!
Got an Uplift that which I like a lot. Jarvis, Autonomous, Uplift are all pretty similar IMO. There was a review I watched on how stable each are in standing position (they all shake a bit) that helped me make my decision. Only thing I would change with mine is I would not go with the laminate black desk material, super prone to finger prints. Otherwise am a big fan of it!
+1 on uplift. Is very sturdy and the wood surface feels much more permanent than some laminated out there
Amazon has one for $500 that has amazing reviews, can’t remember the company but it’ll be clear when you search standing desk
Costco Has height adjustable desks, not sure if they still have them or ran out like TP
Get yourself this Husky workbench from Home Depot if you don’t wanna spend a mortgage payment on some trendy standing desk. It’s beautiful, looks industrial/modern, and has a manual crank lever to raise and lower. They have a few dif sizes. Second the Jarvis adjustable. Got and assembled one this weekend. Fair warning- you need to ease into the standing component. Went in cold on Monday and Tuesday and my knees are killing me!
An anti fatigue mat helps tremendously. Trust me.
Save some money and future headache with a manual one.

Fully.com (former Jarvis), great local company in Portland
Thanks guys! I was looking into the IKEA one as I didn’t want to spend “a mortgage payment” on it but they are charging $50 for shipping soo I think I will end up going for the autonomous one! $369 not bad 😉
